Research and Waves
is a networked online and real life curatorial art project by Gustavo Méndez Lopez, Norman Neumann and Henrik Nieratschker.
Originated at the intersection of electronic art and sound practices, the group takes on the concept of the wave to explore current states in art and society through a spectrum of curatorial and artistic activities.
By incorporating a wide variety of people, objects and organisations from different backgrounds, Research and Waves further intends to build a network of connections between different modes of research and cultural production.
Single activities, such as experiments with exhibition formats, scientific presentation, record releases or digital publications, become coordinates in a conceptual wave-topography that maps, and allows to explore and evaluate, the diversity of approaches, directions and subjects investigated.
